Who is responsible

Priyanka Pai, trading as Kultur Fermenteri in Stockholm, Sweden, is the data controller for the information described here. Write to info@kulturfermenteri.se with anything about your data and it will reach the right person directly.

What we collect

If you join the mailing list: your email address, and your name if you give it.

If you place an order: your name, delivery address and any door code, your email address and phone number, what you ordered, any note you leave about where to put it, and anything you tell us about an allergy or a dietary need.

Payment details are handled by Stripe and never reach us. We see that an order was paid for and what was paid — not a card number.

Why we have it, and on what basis

• To send you the Sunday letter — on the basis of your consent, given when you signed up. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.
• To take and deliver an order — because it is necessary to perform the agreement between us. Without an address we cannot deliver.
• To keep you safe — allergy and dietary information is used only to answer your question and to check your order, and it is deleted once the order has been delivered.
• To put something right — if there is a problem with an order, we keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to resolve it.

Who else sees it

Three companies process data on our behalf, and only on our instructions.

• Inleed hosts this site and runs the mailing list. Their servers are in Sweden.
• SimplyForms handles the "Notify Me" form on this site. It relays your email address to us by message and does not store it — there is no separate account of you held there.
• Stripe processes payments. Stripe is its own controller for payment data and has its own privacy policy; some of its processing takes place outside the EEA, under the safeguards Stripe publishes.

Nothing is sold, traded or handed to anyone else. If a courier delivers your order, they are given the address and your name, and nothing more.

How long we keep it

• Mailing list: until you unsubscribe, and then removed.
• Order details: twelve months, so we can answer a question about a past order.
• Allergy and dietary notes: deleted once the order has been delivered.
• Payment records: held by Stripe under their own retention rules.

Cookies

This site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to consent to. If that changes, we will ask you first and this page will say so.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@kulturfermenteri.se and we will answer within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, at imy.se.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the Sunday letter rather than quietly updating the page.
